"Mr. U-Do" by
Steve Benton

This image was created for the National Marker Company.
Mr. U-Do was a character created by NMC and animated at Interactive Multimedia Training Systems, Inc.
Here are Steve's comments about the image. "I tried to create a realistic feel
to complement the cartoon style of the character. By utilizing Planks2D (on the floor), and
Gordon Miller's Eroded shaders (on the wall, and molding), I was able to do this."
"Still
Life with Floor" by Dave
Huffman

The Parquet2D shader is used in our first contributed image!!
Dave is a freelance graphic artist in New York City. He provides
design and visualization services for architects. There are
some other images on Dave's
website
This particular image was rendered on a PII 400 w/ 128Meg RAM
at video resolution with Enhanced Low Anti-aliasing. Render
time was 37:47 w/ 1 area light and three shadowless spots for
faked radiosity.
"Portal"
by Roger Crouse

Roger is currently employed by a DoD agency and is fortunate
enough to get paid for using Lightwave on a daily basis. This
image is from the beginning of an animation that will be used
for the opening of a video project he is working on. Other
shaders used in this picture (besides Planks2D of course :-)
include Interference and Rust. There are some other images
on Roger's
website.

Here is another image from Roger. This image uses the
Brick2D shader on a castle built from
Dave Jerrard's tutorial in the "Lightwave 3D Applied" book.
"Some
renders using the shades project plugins" by Faisal Naqvi

Faisal's comments about these images can be found on his web page.

"Swirl" by
James (ASCII Skull) Lawless

This is the first thing James did with the Shades plugin, and our first
animation for the gallery page. It uses the Cyclone3D plugin.
"Lightwave
6 Logo" by Gordon
Miller

Gordon has created some great new shaders for the Shades project.
Here is his version of the new Lightwave 6 logo that uses
the "Superdents" shader.

Here is another image from Gordon. This image uses the
Wood2_2D shader and the Stars_And_Moons shader.
If
you would like to share links or display any of the images you create
using a Shades shader, please see the "How to Contribute" page or contact me
